I'm Alexa.
I'm twenty one.
I'm from a small city in NY.
Fashion is what I love.
That is all that matters.
It doesn't have to make sense and you don't have to like it.
In this video, Darlene Gilbert-Parent (not to be confused with ice dance champion and coach Darlene Streich Dyer Gilbert) is skating in ballet pointe toe shoes that are attached to figure skating blades. She invented this unique skate and does amazing spins and other figure skating moves while wearing her original invention.
Darlene Gilbert-Parent was a skater and ballerina. She danced in New York City and skated in Dick Button’s Ice Travaganza at the 1964 World Fair in Queens. She was also featured on “You Asked For It” on ABC TV in 1959.
Note: The quality of this video is not all that great. This is obviously a home and silent movie that was filmed in a dark ice rink many, many years ago.
